The following are the terms and conditions (the “Terms”) for the special Offer (the “Offer”) to those who complete the CHIPTM Reverse Mortgage online estimate form with HomEquity Bank (the “Bank”). If you enter this page from a Toronto Star property (TheStar.com, MetroNews.ca, Toronto.com Homefinder.ca or print newspaper) and complete the estimate form between July 7, 2017 and October 9, 2017, you will receive a free one month subscription to the Toronto Star within 10 business days following the completion of the CHIP Reverse Mortgage estimate. The subscription will be sent to the address provided on the online estimate form. The Bank is not responsible for addresses completed incorrectly on the form. The one month Star print subscription samples will be started for the following Monday post fulfillment processing. All one month Star sample print subscriptions will be for a 7 day home delivery service. Current Star print subscribers taking advantage of this Offer will have a one month credit adjustment posted to their accounts. This Offer may not be available in all delivery areas. Eligibility
The Offer is only open to Toronto homeowners aged 55 years or older who complete the online CHIP Reverse Mortgage estimate form with the bank between July 7, 2017 and October 9, 2017. You are not eligible for the Offer if you have previously applied for the CHIP Reverse Mortgage or if you are currently in the application process for the CHIP Reverse Mortgage.
All one month Star sample print subscriptions will be for a 7 day home delivery service. Current Star print subscribers taking advantage of this Offer will have a one month credit adjustment posted to their accounts. This Offer may not be available in all delivery areas. This Offer cannot be combined with any other Offers or promotions of the Toronto Star or the Bank. Toronto Star is the sponsor of this promotion and as such, Toronto Star is responsible for fulfillment of the Offer.
Offer Limits
Limit of one free one month subscription to the Toronto Star per household upon completion of the Bank’s online estimate form.
General Terms and Conditions
This Offer is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. The decisions the Bank makes with respect to all aspects of this Offer are final and binding on all clients without right of appeal, including, without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility of any person. By participating in this Offer, you are agreeing to be legally bound by these Terms.
The Bank reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to cancel, amend or suspend this Offer, or to amend these Terms, in any way without prior notice or obligation for any reason whatsoever. The Bank reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, and without prior notice, to adjust any of the dates, timeframes and/or other Offer mechanics stipulated in these Terms, to the extent necessary, as a result of any circumstances which, in the opinion of the Bank, in its sole and absolute discretion, affect the proper administration of this Offer as contemplated in these Terms, or for any other reason.
By participating in this Offer, each participant expressly consents to the Bank, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing, using and disclosing the personal information submitted while participating in this Offer for the purpose of administering this Offer and in accordance with the Bank’s privacy policy (available at: http://www.homequitybank.ca/privacy/). Please note that upon completion of this estimate form your data entered on this page (first name, last name, home address and email address) will be passed on to the Toronto Star to fulfill on this Offer. We will not sell or pass on any personal information to any other third parties for their marketing purposes.
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions as provided in these Terms and disclosures or other statements contained in any Offer-related materials, including, but not limited to point of sale, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of these Terms shall prevail, govern and control to the fullest extent permitted by law.
